Cookie Policy
Information about how cookies and similar technologies are addressed in connection with the Ethos website.
This Cookie Policy describes how cookies and similar technologies are addressed in connection with the Ethos website. It is intended to accurately reflect Ethos's technical implementation and allocation of control.
1. Definitions
For purposes of this Cookie Policy:
"Ethos" refers to Mor Labs, Inc.
"Website" refers to the Ethos website and related web pages delivered under Ethos-controlled domains.
"Cookies" are small text files that may be stored on a user's device by a website or by technical systems used to deliver that website.
"Similar Technologies" refer to other technical storage or access mechanisms, including local storage, session storage, and comparable browser- or device-level technologies.
"Ethos-Controlled Code" refers to all client-side and server-side code, configuration, and settings that Ethos authors, includes, enables, or deploys for operation of the Website, including application logic, configuration files, and runtime settings.
"Infrastructure" refers to systems not directly controlled by Ethos-Controlled Code that are used to host, deliver, secure, or route the Website, including browsers, devices, hosting providers, content delivery networks, and security services.
"Persistent Identifiers" refer to identifiers used to recognize or associate a device or user across multiple sessions, websites, or services.
2. Scope of This Policy and Allocation of Control
This Cookie Policy applies to Cookies and Similar Technologies that are deployed, configured, or enabled through Ethos-Controlled Code.
This policy distinguishes between:
- Technologies implemented through Ethos-Controlled Code; and
- Technologies that may arise from Infrastructure outside Ethos-Controlled Code.
Ethos's responsibilities under this policy are limited to the former.
3. Technologies Implemented Through Ethos-Controlled Code
Ethos does not deploy or configure Cookies or Similar Technologies through Ethos-Controlled Code for analytics, advertising, personalization, or behavioral tracking.
Specifically, Ethos-Controlled Code does not implement:
- Analytics Cookies
- Advertising or marketing Cookies
- Functional or preference Cookies
- Persistent Identifiers used to track users across sessions or websites
The Website is designed to operate without non-essential Cookies under Ethos-Controlled Code.
4. Analytics and Performance Measurement
Ethos may use analytics or performance measurement tools that are configured to operate without Cookies or Persistent Identifiers under Ethos-Controlled Code.
These tools are used to obtain aggregated technical information about Website usage and performance. Ethos does not use such tools to build user profiles or to track individual users across sessions or websites through Ethos-Controlled Code.
5. Infrastructure-Level and Strictly Necessary Technologies
Cookies or Similar Technologies may, in limited circumstances, be generated by Infrastructure involved in delivering the Website.
If present, such technologies:
- Serve technical functions necessary for secure and reliable Website operation, such as security protection, traffic routing, or request integrity;
- May be transient or persistent depending on Infrastructure configuration;
- Are not deployed or configured through Ethos-Controlled Code; and
- Are not used by Ethos through Ethos-Controlled Code for analytics, advertising, personalization, or behavioral profiling.
Ethos does not use Ethos-Controlled Code to intentionally combine Infrastructure-level technical data with other data sources for tracking or profiling.
6. Third-Party Technologies
Ethos does not include third-party advertising networks, marketing scripts, tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies in Ethos-Controlled Code.
Infrastructure used to host, deliver, or secure the Website may involve third-party service providers acting in an Infrastructure capacity rather than through Ethos-Controlled Code.
7. User Controls
Users may manage Cookies and Similar Technologies through their browser or device settings. Most browsers allow users to view, delete, or restrict Cookies.
Restricting or disabling certain strictly necessary technical storage mechanisms may affect the functionality or security of websites, including this one.
8. Policy Accuracy, Changes, and Precedence
This Cookie Policy reflects Ethos's current Website implementation and technical design.
If Ethos materially changes its use of Cookies or Similar Technologies through Ethos-Controlled Code in a manner that expands beyond what is described in this policy, this Cookie Policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
In the event of any inconsistency between this Cookie Policy and other Ethos policies regarding Cookies or Similar Technologies, this Cookie Policy governs.
